Baptism last Saturday

Alessandra is now a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. I am so happy for her. She is truly just such a miracle. We found her in the area book, gave her a call, taught her a lesson, and now she is baptized. Things just went so smoothly and well with Alessandra I feel so blessed.

So I am being transfered. Please do not send anymore letters to the home address. Send them to the mission office. I love you and miss you all so much. I will send my new address next week.

I am sorry for the short email this week. I promise that next week I will write a longer one and fill whoever reads this will all the great details of my mission. Love you all so much.

The stone is rolling

This may be a little short, but I have a couple things that I would like to talk about. I am sorry that my letters are getting shorter and more cut and dry... This is due to the shorter ammount of time that I am trying to spend emailing. Things went pretty well this week. There were a few rough moments, but I won't focus on those. We had a great miracle this week.
We found an awesome lady named Alessandra, I can't remember if I wrote about her in my past emails. About three weeks, when we switched the area with the sisters, we were looking through our new area book and found her teaching record. We saw that she had come to Church about two months ago and then the missionaries just lost contact with her. So we called her and tried to set something up with her and she said, "Well I work a lot, but can I come to Church on Sunday." Our reply, "Yes!" Sure enough she was there that Sunday and has been every Sunday since. She loves the church and is fitting in so well. She has agreed to be baptized on August 24th. We are so excited for her.
Courtney and Stephanie and going through a rough time. They weren't able to make it to Church this week unfortunately... Please pray for them all that you can. I hope and pray that they will be able to make it to their baptismal date.
This week we had to fill in for someone at the family history center. There generally isn't many people at the family history center so Elder McMahan and I had a lot of extra time to spend on mormon.org and lds.org. During that time I made a mormon.org profile. Visit it here http://mormon.org/me/9874/RyanRomero. I loved writing about my testimony and answering all the Gospel questions. I am pretty long winded on some of them... Haha. But even if no one reads them or gets anything out of my profile that is okay, because I sure got a lot out of it. I have never really taken time to write down how I feel about this Gospel and the Church. Through writing about it I found that I really do have a strong testimony, and that I do know these things to be true. I really enjoyed making that profile and I'd encourage everyone that has not taken time to make one, to make one.
I love you all so much. I have some pictures for you!

Time is slipping

Another week down. This is just crazy. It is going by so fast. This was a pretty good week. Stephanie, Courtney's wife, is now on date with him for the 24th of August. Great news! She is very supportive of her husband and wants to support him in all that he does. I am so excited for these two. They both came to Church this Sunday along with their addorable daughters Faith and Hope. After Church we went to the Bishop's house and I took family pictures of them and we had an incredible lesson. Things are really looking up in this Ward. This week our Ward had eleven investigators and sacrament meeting! It was awesome. Gospel Principles class was incredible. So many amazing investigators. My district is expecting to have eight baptisms this month. I am really excited for how things play out. Please pray for the investigators of my district. All the missionaries have worked so hard, and the investigators have also worked incredibly hard to make these changes in their lives.

I don't have too much to write about this week. I really love the missionaries in this zone. I feel like I have made the best friends in the world. I really feel like I came here to this mission to meet some of these missionaries. Elder Armenta is headed back home in a few days =(. I am going to miss that guy so much. I gave him one of my nicest watches when I said goodbye to him at mission council. My original plan was to give him my favorite black J-Crew Tie. But I accidently forgot my backpack that I put it in.  I am thankful that I fogot my backpack though because I think that my watch is going to mean a lot more to him than my tie. He knows how much I love watches, and I was his companion when I received the watch that I gave him. His watch was crap and he needed a new one anyways. Haha. I love that kid, I can't wait till I can see him again.

I love you all. Thank you for all that y'all do for me!
